Terms & conditions

In these terms and conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” means New Scool Pty Limited (“New Scool”). Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they apply to your use of this website (“site”) (www.scoolbikes.com.au). By accessing or using this site you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

New Scool reserves the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

By ordering or registering on this site you grant us the right to add your contact details to our database and email transactional order, shipping and product review emails. From time to time we may contact you about offers and new products. You can be removed by contacting our Customer Service Team at help@scoolbikes.com.au and we will remove you from marketing communications.

Order Acceptance Policy

New Scool is the exclusive licence holder and distributor of coolmobility and S’COOL products in Australia and New Zealand. New Scool directly sells and distributes to both end user retail customers and commercial customers (including authorised dealers) who intend to resell the products offered by New Scool.

Your receipt of an order confirmation (electronic or other) does not confirm our acceptance of your order and it does not confirm of our offer to sell to you. New Scool reserves the right at any time post-receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. All orders placed must obtain pre-approval with an acceptable method of payment, as established by our Credit Approvals Team. We may require additional information, verifications or detail before accepting any order.

Liability

We do not accept responsibility for any loss which may arise from reliance on information contained in this site. Furthermore, New Scool does not endorse or accept responsibility for the material of any website referred to or accessed through or via this site.

Shipping and deliveries

Customers who choose Express Shipping (where no signature is required) give authority for their order to be left unattended at their nominated delivery address.

New Scool will only replace orders using Express Shipping if the delivery company handling that order lost or damaged the item/s and accept fault.

Certain factors such as quantity, weight and delivery address may require us to ship via alternative means. New Scool reserves the right to change your shipping method in these cases and will provide tracking details for the new carrier when available.

The delivery times provided by New Scool are estimates only. New Scool will not be held accountable for late deliveries or loss or damage relating to late deliveries.

In the event that multiple items are ordered, partial and piecemeal deliveries may be required where stock is not readily available.

The special instructions field on the delivery page of the checkout is used for any reasonable instructions to assist with the delivery of your order (eg, “Corner house” / “Battle-axe house at end of driveway” / “Access via rear-lane” / “Opening hours 10am – 5pm” / “No stopping sign in-front of building, best to park on next cross street” etc.). We are unable to grant specific requests (eg, “Leave parcel with neighbour if no one is home” / “Someone will be home between 1pm – 2pm” etc.). New Scool does not accept liability if your instructions are not followed.

Refunds and returns

Bike returns must not have been ridden outside, on a hard surface, must be in as-new condition with tags attached and boxes intact (unless the return is made under warranty due to a manufacturer fault). All other returns must also be in as-new condition. We recommend sending returns via registered post as we do not accept responsibility for lost or misplaced items.

Promotional codes cannot be applied to returns, refunds or exchanges. Returns must be made within 14 days from delivery (unless faulty). New Scool does not accept cash as a form of payment and takes no responsibility for cash sent via post.

Any items returned outside the 14 day period (unless faulty) or items returned used, accidently or purposefully damaged or soiled (including normal wear and tear) will be the responsibility of the customer to retrieve. New Scool will not incur costs to return these items back to you. Please contact our Customer Service Team at help@scoolbikes.com.au if you have any questions.

Change of address

The shipping address for your order is shown in the checkout and on your order confirmation and shipping confirmation emails. In the event that an incorrect address was entered, address changes can only be made until the order begins processing. New Scool cannot accommodate all address change requests.

New Scool takes no responsibility for orders shipped to an incorrect or invalid address and is not liable for any loss associated.

Pre-orders, special orders and international customs charges

Some pre-orders and special orders may incur customs charges, import duties and / or other charges. New Scool does not have any control over these charges or are unable to advise what they are likely to be.

All remaining charges are to be paid by the customer prior to clearance and delivery of your order. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and New Scool will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence.

Pricing

Prices are subject to change without notice. There may be duties and taxes added to your package by the destination country. You will be responsible for these upon delivery and are not included in your order total. All credit cards are charged in Australian Dollars. Non-Australian currency figures are all approximations based on an exchange rate. All prices on our webpage are in Australian Dollars.

Faulty items and warranty information

S’cool provides a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty on its balance bikes and pedal bikes.

In order to service all warranty issues efficiently, please contact our Customer Service Team at help@scoolbikes.com.au to return the item, please also provide your original receipt and a description of the problem (note this excludes normal wear and tear / purposeful damage / accidental damage etc.).

All repairs are carried out by the manufacturer and not by New Scool. In some cases, faulty items cannot be repaired and a replacement or refund may be offered. New Scool cannot control the availability of parts of replacement goods.

Order cancellations

If notified before goods have been dispatched, New Scool can accommodate order cancellations (excludes pre-orders and special orders). If items have been shipped, pre-ordered or special ordered, New Scool reserves the right to refuse order cancellation or charge a cancellation fee should we be able to request the return of the package from our delivery service.

This site is owned and operated by New Scool. Unless otherwise specified, all information and materials appearing on this site, including the text, site design, logos, graphics, icons, and images, including the selection, assembly and arrangement thereof, are the sole property of New Scool.

You may use the content of this site only for the purpose of shopping on this site or placing an order on this site and for no other purpose.

No information or materials from this site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any form or by any means without New Scool’s prior written permission and consent.

All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

Any unauthorised use of the information and materials appearing on this site may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws and could result in criminal or civil penalties.

Typographical and transpositional errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price, promotion or with incorrect information due to typographical or transpositional error, promotional error or error in product information, New Scool shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price, promotion or product information.

New Scool shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, New Scool will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.

Credit card payments and verification

All orders are subject to pre-authorisation checks by our Credit Approvals Team to ensure sufficient funds are available and to confirm the validity of the payment.

PayPal Express Checkout

Customers choosing to checkout with PayPal Express will automatically have their order shipped Express Shipping (no signature required). The order will be shipped to the address selected in your PayPal account. Once the order has been shipped New Scool cannot alter your delivery address or shipping method.

Promotions

Promotions are valid for the specified time period and may be used one time only unless otherwise stated.

One time use Promotions must be used in their entirety in a single purchase. Any amounts not redeemed in the applicable purchase will be forfeited. Promotions cannot be combined with other promotions.

Promotions do not apply to gift certificates, shipping, GST or duties or similar services.

Promotions cannot be applied retroactively to previously placed orders or to orders that have been adjusted.
